Being clear and transparent is important in literally any field. For nonprofits, transparency is vital: building long-term public trust and relationship and complying with legal requirements is not possible without honesty and clarity. In today's financial environment every nonprofit volunteer and donor is justifiably concerned with a organizations policies and procedures concerning the acquisition and management of charitable gifts and funding. Elevation recognizes the importance of properly managing funds as we achieve our mission. We maintain responsible spending and ensure that all donor funds are used properly and efficiently. We apply a minimum of 80% of all donated funds to program and content delivery. We also make our annual reports, annual program overviews, and annual financial statements available upon request.


Elevation places a high priority on the communication of our accountability, responsibility, and impact with the public. Our commitment to management and financial transparency is supported by the following documentation and initiatives;

Financial and Accounting Policy

Standard accounting procedures, in accordance with GAAP, will be utilized for all financial functions. Accounting will be done on the accrual basis. Periodic, unannounced, internal audits will be performed. Financial records will be maintained in accordance with the record retention policy and as determined by Federal, State or local law.

Document Retention Policy

Financial documents, including the annual report, IRS form 990, and audit documentation, will be made available to the public upon request. 

Conflict of Interest Policy

 Directors, officers, board members, trustees, employees, or persons of interest may not use their positions for their own financial or personal benefit.

Whistleblower Protection Policy

Elevation requires all directors, officers and employees to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. As a part of our culture of honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities we encourage the reporting of any inappropriate conduct or actions either internally, or in the delivery of our programs.
