A EDUCATIONAL CRISIS
Less than 2% of educational giving goes to underserved groups in rural areas, 30% of all students in the country.
Students and young adults should not have to leave rural communities to find better economic opportunities for themselves and their families, but far too often, people from historically underserved regions must leave their towns and communities to access the tools, resources and opportunities afforded to others in more resource-rich and economically diverse pockets of the country.
While the importance of STEM education is crucial for both personal opportunity and social stability, rural and underserved student groups consistently suffer from poorer performance, and greatly increased failure rates. The correction of this imbalance is the primary mission of Elevation.
